Why do toys cost different prices? — Part 2: Why do toys cost different prices? — Part 2: How It Works

Section 1 of 6

What Parts Work Together?

Have you ever wondered what makes a toy cost a certain price? Think of it like baking cookies. There are ingredients, like flour and sugar, that come together to make something delicious. Similarly, many parts work together to determine the price of a toy. First, there's the cost of materials to make the toy, like plastic or metal. Then, there's the work involved in putting the toy together, known as manufacturing. After that, we have shipping, which means transporting the toy from the factory to the store. There's also the demand, or how many kids want that particular toy. The more kids want it, the more valuable it might become, just like how more people wanting cookies can make them run out faster! All these parts depend on each other, creating a system that works together to set the price you see at the store.
